2015 WSOPE Main Event: Dzmitry Urbanovich Tops Day 2, Arsh Grover Makes Day 3

The WSOP Europe Main Event has now reached Day 3 with just 65 players remaining from a starting field of 313 entries. India’s, Arsh Grover is still in contention and bagged 83,100 chips at the end of play on Day 2.

EPT 11 ‘Player of the Year’ Dzmitry Urbanovich (cover image) topped the chip counts with 374,800 chips at the end of Day 2. Urbanovich had a great run, which included his hand with to eliminate Georgios Karakousis who held , as well as EPT Malta champion Jean Montury, who hit the rails with Kx Jx against his pocket jacks.

The €10,450 Main Event drew 313 players in total from its two-entry flight days, creating a prize pool of €3,067,400. Nial Farrel led on Day 1A with 150,000 chips. Arsh played on this day and was one of the 57 survivors from the 109 entries to make Day 2.

Day 1B had several notables and Peter Norman was chip leader with 125,000 chips. The day saw 209 entries and 127 survivors made it to Day 2.

Day 2 began with the 184 survivors and after six 90-minute levels of play, only 65 remained for Day 3. The money bubble is just 33 eliminations away, with the top 32 players assured a minimum €20,000 payday.

Young Gun Arsh Grover is going strong in the event and kept the rail alive with regular tweets on his progress.

Some of the notables who made it Day 3 include Dominik Nitsche (166,100), Andrew Lichtenberger (165,500), Team PokerStars Pros Jason Mercier (140,900) and Liv Boeree (67,000), and former WCOOP winner Fedor Holz (38,400).
